Recently scomo (Australia’s PM Scott Morrison) announced a care package for students which opened a conversation on if international students are included in this program.

On friday, Scott Morrison mentioned that international students while coming to Australia provide a warranty that they are able to support themselves for 12 months of their studies which is a requirement of the visa.

Furthermore, Mr. Morrison said “if they are not in a position to be able to support themselves then there is the alternative for them to return to their home country”

Mentioning this Australian government doesn’t want everyone to go back home. As per Mr.Morrison there are opportunities for Student nurses and backpackers who have critical skills that can help Australia during this pandemic.

“But our focus and our priority is on supporting Australians and Australian residents with the economic supports that are available” Scott Morrison.
